Providing support and promoting agency to allow for meaningful change
Jess is a licensed clinical social worker with more than ten years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in multiple settings. She is particularly passionate about working with adolescents and adults navigating major life changes. This includes: teens and college students experiencing perfectionism and social challenges, young adults entering the workforce - encountering additional personal and financial independence, and new moms and dads as they enter new roles, changing interpersonal dynamics, and new phases of life.
It is of utmost importance to Jess to include clients in therapeutic planning including collaboration of goals from the outset to foster participation, progress, and long-term success for each client. Jess has training in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, trauma, play therapy, solution-focused, family, and group therapy.
Jess earned her Master of Social Work from Boston University, with a trauma certificate and group specialization; she holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College.
